Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe: A Flavor-packed Twist On Sushi

This Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe is a delicious twist on traditional sushi, combining the flavors of spicy salmon, creamy sauce, and a crunchy topping for a perfect oven-baked dish.

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/4 cup scallions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  3. While the rice cooks, prepare the salmon by removing the skin and bones, then flake it into a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and half of the scallions.
  5. Combine the flaked salmon with the mayonnaise mixture and set aside.
  6. In a baking dish, spread the cooked sushi rice evenly across the bottom.
  7. Top with the spicy salmon mixture.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and sesame oil, then sprinkle over the top of the salmon.
  9. Bake the dish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  10. Garnish with remaining scallions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with additional sriracha for extra heat.
  • Highly customizable – feel free to add avocado or cucumber.
