- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel bits
- 1/2 cup sea salt flakes
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the caramel bits.
- Drop by tablespoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle sea salt flakes on top while still warm.
- Let cool on wire racks.
