A delicious recipe inspired by Outback Steakhouse’s famous potato soup, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham for an indulgent twist.

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, cheese, diced chicken ham, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook until heated through, then serve topped with green onions and reserved bacon.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add more heavy cream.
  • Substitute regular bacon for turkey bacon if preferred.
