One-Pan Bold Honey BBQ Chicken Rice

A delicious one-pan recipe combining bold flavors with honey BBQ chicken and rice for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 4 chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken thighs and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in rice and pour chicken broth over the top.
  4. Add honey BBQ sauce and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes or until rice is done and chicken is cooked through.
  6. Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
