Monterey Chicken One Pan Orzo

Delicious and easy-to-make Monterey Chicken One Pan Orzo with a turkey bacon twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, add chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in orzo, chicken broth, and seasonings; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender.
  6. Stir in cheese and chopped bacon; serve hot.
