- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and almond extract.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased pan.
- Spoon the ricotta mixture over the batter, then add the remaining batter on top.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
