  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and almond extract.
  6. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased pan.
  7. Spoon the ricotta mixture over the batter, then add the remaining batter on top.
  8. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.
  • This cake can be served warm or cold.
