Honey BBQ Chicken Rice – The Best 1-Pan Family Dinner (50 Min)

A delicious and easy one-pan family dinner that combines tender chicken with honey BBQ sauce and fluffy rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and sear until browned.
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, mix cooked rice with honey BBQ sauce and chopped green onions.
  7. Place seared chicken on top of the rice mixture.
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
