  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted coconut oil, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
