French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A creamy and flavorful casserole combining chicken and orzo with the rich taste of French onion soup.

  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 ounces orzo pasta
  • 2 cups French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, orzo, French onion soup, sour cream, and half of the cheese.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix well and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use homemade French onion soup.
  • Can be topped with crispy fried onions before serving for crunch.
