French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious and hearty casserole that combines the flavors of French onion soup with tender chicken and orzo pasta.

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked orzo, shredded chicken, French onion soup, caramelized onions, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with Gruyère cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
