Easy Okonomiyaki

A delicious and comforting twist on traditional okonomiyaki, featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 4 slices chicken ham, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup okonomiyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • to taste bonito flakes
  • to taste aonori (seaweed flakes)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour and water to create a batter.
  2. Stir in the egg, cabbage, turkey bacon, chicken ham, and green onions.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour in half of the batter, shaping it into a round pancake.
  4. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  5. Repeat with remaining batter.
  6. Drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise, then sprinkle with bonito flakes and aonori before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the meats and add more vegetables.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference.
