Creamy Corn Chowder

A comforting and delicious creamy corn chowder with the delightful addition of turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups fresh corn kernels
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes and corn kernels, cooking for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Add the heavy cream, chicken ham, smoked paprika, and return the crumbled bacon back into the pot.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, and heat through before serving.

Notes

  • This chowder can be made ahead of time and reheated.
  • For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or parsley.
