Cajun Potato Soup

Comforting and flavorful, this Cajun Potato Soup combines turkey bacon and chicken ham for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chicken ham, cooking for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Top with cooked turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning.
  • This soup can be made ahead and reheated.
